Obituary of Terry J Vickers It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry J Vickers, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this world on June 15, 2026, at the age of 70. Terry passed away in the serene presence of his loved ones as his organs gently shut down, marking the end of a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Born on November 3, 1955, in Borger, Texas, Terry was the cherished son of Jack L Vickers and Letta Jo Hamar. He was a beacon of strength and kindness, characterized by his unwavering love for family and friends. Throughout his life, Terry was a carpenter and concrete man, lending his skilled hands to various companies and individuals, building not only structures but also a legacy of hard work and dedication. Terry's educational journey took him through the halls of Wilson, Emerson, and Enid High, where he fostered friendships and values that would accompany him throughout his life. Though he never served in the military, Terry's life was a testament to commitment and service—to his family, his work, and his faith. A man of the outdoors, Terry was an avid fisherman, renowned for his uncanny ability to catch the biggest catfish, even without a fishing pole. His love for nature extended to his cherished companions, including his dog, Hope, and the horses and dogs that graced his life at various times. Above all, Terry’s heart was deeply anchored in his faith, engaging in countless conversations with God, which provided him solace and guidance. Terry is predeceased by his parents, Jack and Letta Jo, his maternal grandparents Clyde and Opal Hamar, his paternal grandparents, along with several beloved family members, including Zachary Reherman, Samantha Howell, and Lee Curtis. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved them. Terry's legacy is lovingly carried forward by his surviving family: his brother Clyde (Butch) & Kathy Vickers, his son Steven, daughter-in-law Chelsie, and grandchildren Zac, Zander, Zaiden, and Ashlyn; his daughter Jennifer and her husband Paul Reherman, and granddaughter Zoey; his brother Rick and sister-in-law Connie Vickers, and their sons Jeff & Ryan; his daughter Courtney Thanphachanh and her three sons; Sherri Curtis and her son Matt, along with Adriana Howell, and their sons Dominic & Triston Howell, and their son Carter; Mason Howell, Heather Howell, and her son Chase & Severa Howell. Each of them will forever hold dear the memories of a man whose life was rich in love and laughter. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Integris Hospital for their compassionate care during Terry's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the EnidSPCA, reflecting Terry's deep love for animals. As we gather to celebrate Terry’s life, we remember a man whose heart was as vast and welcoming as the Texas sky under which he was born. His laughter, wisdom, and warmth were gifts to all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Though Terry has departed from this world, his legacy of love and kindness endures. May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of those who went before him, and forever remembered in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
