Terry Furnish
August 3, 1958 — May 24, 2026
Terry Furnish peacefully departed this world on May 24, 2026, at his home in Winter Haven, Florida, with his beloved wife, Pat, by his side. He was 67 years old.
Born on August 3, 1958, in the quaint town of Lake Wales, Florida, Terry was the son of Olan and Doris Furnish, who predeceased him. He grew up surrounded by the warmth of family, learning from an early age the values of kindness, generosity, and humor that would define him throughout his life.
Terry graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1976, He found his calling on the open road, working as a professional truck driver before retiring. His career allowed him to travel while meeting countless people and collecting stories along the way.
An avid baseball fan, Terry never missed a Cincinnati Reds game, cheering passionately for the team he adored. When not watching baseball, he loved to work in the back yard and saying he truly enjoyed it and time seemed to slow down just for him.
Terry was a man of many qualities, but it was his warm, gorgeous smile and quick comebacks and loved by everyone he met. His jokes were legendary among friends and family. Yet, it was his kindness and generosity that truly touched the lives of those around him, leaving an unforgettable mark on their hearts.
Terry leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his devoted wife, Pat Furnish, son Casey Furnish, and daughter Kristin Furnish. His brothers, David Furnish (Fonda) and Mark Furnish (Elaine), will miss their brother dearly. And many nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Winter Haven Christian Church, located at 301 6th Street NE, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
