Born on September 27, 1950, in the town of Gloversville, New York, Terry was a gifted carpenter and a man of quiet strength, who brought beauty and creativity to the world Terry was the beloved son of Maurice and June (Reynolds) Cole, who preceded him in death, alongside his dear brothers, Donald and Ronald Cole, and many cherished furry companions, including Edgar, Tommy and Banjo. Terry attended Gloversville High School, where he was a member of the school newspaper, key club and played the saxophone in the school band. His professional life was characterized by dedication and diligence, serving for the New York State Comptroller's Office alongside his dear friend, Barbara Casey, until his well-earned retirement. Terry's personal life was a tapestry of quiet love. His home was his sanctuary in which he took great pride, and could often be found tinkering with various home improvement projects or crafting intricate woodworks. During his downtime, you could find him relaxing in the sunroom in his favorite chair, with a Sam Adams in hand, listening to Prairie Home Companion or watching re-runs of MASH. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughter, Ellie Collier, and her husband, Erik. His spirit lives on in his grandsons, Copeland Swett, Calvin Collier, and Archie Collier, who brought him endless pride and joy. Terry is also survived by his beloved sister, Bonnie Clizbe, many nieces and nephews; Donald Clizbe, Lynda Clizbe, Trisha & Terry Lobdell, Darin & Spring Clizbe, Christopher & Angela Clizbe, Shawn Clizbe, Melanie Barz (Clizbe), Jennifer Clizbe, as well as his step-daughter, Diella Van Dyk, and his best friends, Andrew Harvey and Barbara Casey. Terry's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will forever linger in the quiet pauses and when a tooth-whistled song can be heard.
