With heavy hearts but profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Terri Deane Rusticus (Clark), who peacefully departed this world on July 23, 2026, in the comforting embrace of her beloved husband and surrounded by her cherished children and dearest friends. Terri was born on May 27, 1955, in Modesto, California, to Doris Adell Villarreal and Sims (Skip) LeRoss Clark. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and kindness. Terri's journey began in Modesto, where she graduated from Grace M. Davis High School in 1973. On February 7, 1975, she married the love of her life, Jerry Rusticus. Who will love her forever and a day. Together, they built a remarkable 51-year marriage filled with unwavering devotion, laughter, and countless cherished memories. As a mother to five children, Terri dedicated her life to creating a home that was a sanctuary of love and warmth. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Villarreal and Sims (Skip) Clark, her beloved sister Merri Jeane Clark, and her precious great-granddaughter, Arista Holland Alonzo. Also greeting her on the other side are her mother and father-in-law, Mike and Grace Rusticus. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Jerry Rusticus, and their children: sons Micheal, Robert, Charles, and Jerry Rusticus, and daughter Sarah (Dustin) Phillips. Terri's legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren—Paige, Brett, Aimee, Robert Jr., Miah, Nathan, Maci, Hayden, Alexis, Laurel, and Victoria—and her five great-grandchildren—Kayden, Aura, Aries, Aberdeen, and Mario. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and her closest friends, the Bergin sisters. Terri was a woman of simple joys. Her love for nature was evident in her care for her turtle and koi ponds, and her home was always adorned with the vibrant beauty of her flourishing gardens. She had a fondness for hummingbirds, but turtles held a special place in her heart. Above all, Terri found her greatest happiness in the company of her family. Her home was a haven of love, where the door was always open, and everyone was greeted with warmth and acceptance. To her family and friends, she was not just "Terri," but "Mom"—a beacon of love and support. In her professional life, Terri was the owner and operator of a daycare, a role that perfectly suited her nurturing nature. She later became a stay-at-home mom, dedicating herself entirely to raising her children and, eventually, helping to raise her grandchildren, imparting wisdom, love, and laughter to each new generation. A celebration of Terri's life will be held on August 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at her home, where the door will always remain open in her honor.
