It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of Terrence Kurtz, a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend. Terry peacefully departed this world on June 21, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service. Born on August 2, 1947, in Chicago and retired to Ocala Florida , Terry was the beloved son of the late John and Clara. Terry grew up with an innate sense of duty and compassion. His formative years in Chicago shaped his generous spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others, a trait that would become the cornerstone of his life. Terry answered the call to serve his country in 1966, enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. He served with honor and distinction until 1970, embodying the values of courage and dedication. His military service was a source of immense pride, and he remained closely connected to the veteran community as a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW. After his honorable discharge, Terry embarked on a successful career with Bank of America, where he worked diligently in the Pension Trust Department. His colleagues remember him as a principled and reliable professional, whose integrity was matched only by his kindness. Terry's faith was a guiding light throughout his life. As an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church, he served as a Eucharistic Minister, offering his time and heart to his church community. His commitment to his faith was further reflected in his dedication as a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, where he contributed to numerous charitable endeavors. In matters of the heart, Terry was blessed with a loving and devoted partner in his wife, Charlene, who survives him. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared values. Terry's world also included his treasured sister, Judith, and his nephew, Robert Kurtz, who will forever cherish the memories of his warmth and guidance. He is predeceased by his beloved sister, Charlotte Finnegan, and brother, John Kurtz, Jr., whose spirits he now joins. A man of many passions, Terry found joy in volunteering and was always eager to lend a helping hand. His strength and compassion endeared him to all who knew him, and his presence will be sorely missed by the many lives he touched. In honoring Terry's giving nature, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to making the world a better place. Terrence Kurtz's life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and love. As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. Rest in peace, dear Terry.
