In Loving Memory

Teresa "Terry" Juszczyk
September 12, 1938 — September 4, 2026
With profound gratitude for hearts full of cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Teresa (Terry) Juszczyk and the joy she brought to ours. Terry passed away peacefully in Omaha with her daughters by her side.
Terry, the youngest of 4 children was Born in Poland to Maria and Jan Akonom. Under the shadow of the 2nd World War, Terry was 6 months old when her family was sent to a Concentration Camp in Siberia followed by West Africa. At wars end Terry and her family were able to relocate to Bradford UK.
Terry learned English quickly, excelled in school, and completed college at 16. She loved dancing, drawing, modeling, and spending time with friends. Though she hoped to continue her education, she took a secretarial job to help her beloved parents build a new life in a new country.
During a family visit to Southern Africa (Rhodesia), Terry met, fell deeply in love with and married the late Bronislaw “Bruno” Juszczyk. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family. They created several successful businesses and a home, filled with warmth and joy.
Terry and Bruno raised three children: Angelique, Rick, and Cherie. Their children were the center of their lives. Terry made sure they always knew how deeply they were loved and how important they were. She introduced them to the world through travel, made holidays and special occasions joyful, and filled their home with family and friends.
When the civil war made life in Rhodesia increasingly dangerous, Terry and Bruno faced the heartbreaking decision to send their children to the United States to University. Distance could not diminish Terry’s devotion. She traveled to be with them for birthdays, graduations, holidays, weddings, and all the moments that mattered.
Terry’s love was heightened with the arrival of her grandchildren: Samantha, and the twins Nick and Amanda, and Brigette, Bailee, and Logan. She held them at birth and held their hearts throughout life. She celebrated every milestone with them and was so proud of them. They were her truest joy wrapped in an unbreakable bond.
Terry possessed a truly luminous spirit, characterized by boundless generosity and an innate kindness that touched everyone she met. She held a rare and precious ability to perceive the inherent goodness in every individual. She opened her heart and home to friends and strangers alike making those around her feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Terry adored animals. She loved traveling, knitting, crocheting, reading, music, cooking and playing cards with friends.
Terry had an unparalleled gift for spreading joy and warmth. Her presence alone could brighten the darkest days and everyone who knew her felt the difference her kindness made. Terry's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, yet her beautiful spirit, her boundless love, and her exemplary life will forever be etched in the hearts and memories of those she held dear. She taught us the power of compassion, the joy of giving, and the enduring strength and unconditional love of family. Her memory will continue to inspire us and be a guiding light through life’s journey.
May we honor Terry by welcoming others as she did, finding joy in giving, and loving our family and one another as she loved us. Her spirit will live on in every life she touched
