It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Terence "TRENT" Mobley, who was called home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with health concerns. Born on March 11, 1962, in Philadelphia, PA, Trent's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith. Trent was the cherished son of Ernest Townsend and the late Geneva Townsend. He is predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Jessie Corbin-Hunter, his sister Arlene Payne, niece Amber Payne, and nephew Oliver Hamilton Williams IV. Trent is survived by his father, Ernest Townsend, a devoted family of siblings, children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. His legacy of love extends beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of many friends and extended family members. Raised in Philadelphia, Trent was educated in The Philadelphia School System, graduating from Parkway Schools. He briefly studied at Pennco Tech and went on to build a fulfilling career that spanned over 30 years. Known for his vibrant personality and numerous talents, Trent was a celebrated DJ known as Disco Boys Of Funk, sharing his love of music throughout the Tri-State area. His passion for dance, under the name The StepMaster's, led him to revel in a proud moment as he appeared on The Al Albert Show. Trent's life took a transformative turn when he gave his life to Christ, dedicating himself to leadership roles in various churches, following the spiritual footsteps of his grandmother, Mother Jessie Corbin-Hunter. As a truck driver, Trent found joy in spreading the gospel during his daily routes, always eager to help those around him. His unwavering generosity and empathy were hallmarks of his character, as he tirelessly gave his time, resources, and spirit to anyone in need. A dedicated servant of the Lord, Trent was active in numerous church activities, including homeless outreach programs. He had a dream of building his own church, a testament to his commitment to spreading God's word. Even as he faced illness, his faith remained unshakeable, preaching and praising God until his final days. Trent will be fondly remembered for his sharp sense of style, quick wit, and infectious ability to make anyone's day brighter. His selflessness and unwavering commitment to putting others first left a lasting impact on all who knew him. A fearless soldier for the Lord, Trent's legacy of love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Trent's generous spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.
