In loving memory of Tenisha Graves, a remarkable woman whose life was filled with grace, talent, and love, we announce her peaceful passing on July 26, 2010, at the age of 77. Born on September 20, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, Tenisha was the beloved daughter of Teika and London Linden. Her journey through life was one of elegance, marked by her enchanting voice and vibrant spirit. A proud graduate of her high school class of 1951, Tenisha pursued her passion for the arts and completed her college education in 1956. She was a gifted actress and singer whose talent touched the hearts of many. From the age of 24, Tenisha graced the stage and screen, captivating audiences with her seductive alto voice and unparalleled elegance. Her voice acting role as a female dog in "Terrence's Adventure" remains cherished by her fans and admirers. Tenisha was married to the love of her life, Lawrence Graves, with whom she shared a beautiful journey until his passing on August 31, 2005. Together, they raised five wonderful children: Maurice, Talema, Sheldon, Kandi, and Timothy. Tenisha's legacy lives on through them and her 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her spirit of creativity and grace. She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, and joins him in eternal rest, along with her parents. Her children and extended family remain to celebrate her life and the countless memories they shared. Beyond her professional achievements, Tenisha was known for her elegant personality, her warmth, and her kindness. She had a rare ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved, a quality that endeared her to all who knew her. A service to honor Tenisha's extraordinary life will be held on July 30, 2010, at 2:30 PM at St. Mary in Columbus, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and to bid farewell to a truly remarkable woman. In this time of sorrow, Tenisha’s family takes comfort in the love and support of those around them. They offer a special message: "Rest in peace, Tenisha." Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, as she now finds eternal peace in the embrace of those who went before her.
