It is with profound sadness yet deep gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of our beloved Temika Lashawn Moore, who left this world on May 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born on August 26, 1982, in Atlanta, Georgia, Temika graced this world with her presence for 43 years, enriching the lives of all who knew her. Temika was the cherished daughter of Yvonne Smith and the late Carey Washington, and granddaughter to the late Jackie Moore. Her strength and tenacity were evident to all, qualities she undoubtedly inherited from the remarkable women who preceded her. She was not only a devoted daughter but also a loving partner to Terry, sharing a bond that was steadfast and filled with mutual respect and companionship. Temika was a proud and nurturing mother to her three children, Davion Hall, Kaseam Hurt, and Khloe Moore, who were the light of her life. In her role as a mother, she demonstrated an unwavering dedication to their happiness and success, leaving them with a legacy of love and resilience. Her joy extended further to her seven grandchildren, who will carry forward the values and love she instilled in them. Family was the cornerstone of Temika's life. She shared a close and loving relationship with her siblings, Melissa Moore, Talisa Smith, and Dania W., and was a cherished sister-in-spirit to MeMe Ashley. Her extended family and many dear friends were fortunate enough to experience her kindness, wit, and selflessness, creating bonds that lasted a lifetime. Temika's educational journey took her through Avondale High School and Towers High School, after which she graduated from Penn Foster. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Chamber University, where she was zealously pursuing her degree, a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning. For over 20 years, Temika dedicated her professional life to United Cerebral Palsy of Atlanta, where she worked with unparalleled compassion and dedication. Her colleagues were not just coworkers but extended family, and she was known for her unwavering support and tireless work ethic. Beyond her professional commitments, Temika was a passionate and influential member of the Rare Jewels Motorcycle Club, where she proudly served as president for many years. Her leadership and camaraderie were a source of inspiration and unity, fostering a community of shared interests and deep friendships. Temika's legacy is one of love, strength, and an unyielding spirit. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact of living authentically. Though she is no longer with us in presence, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her. A celebration of Temika's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to breast cancer research, supporting the fight she so bravely fought.
