Teleisa Vaoga Tuasimusi “Solomona” Faatai

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Teleisa Vaoga Tuasimusi "Solomona" Faatai, a beloved pillar of her community and cherished family matriarch. Teleisa passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 11, 1939, in the beautiful village of Leone, American Samoa, she was a beacon of love and wisdom throughout her 86 years. Teleisa was the cherished daughter of Tuifa’atui Faatai and was preceded in death by her parents, Fualemilo and Ata Tuasimusi. She is also reunited in eternal peace with her brother, Tafoa Seauli’itu Tuasimusi, who departed in 2009, and her dear sisters, Leota and Leatauguifa Tuasimusi. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Teleisa’s legacy lives on through her extensive family. She leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her resilient spirit and boundless love. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding them, instilling values of kindness, strength, and unity. Teleisa’s life was a testament to the power of community and faith. She was deeply respected and loved by all who had the privilege to know her. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her home was a welcoming haven for friends and family alike. A woman of profound faith, she was an active member of her church, where she found joy in worship and fellowship. Her warm smile and kind heart will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever inspire those she left behind. Teleisa’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
