Ted Christian, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 18, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Ted lived a rich and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and music. Ted's life was marked by his deep love for his family. He shared a remarkable 54-year marriage with Gale Anne-Marrie, whom he wed on July 22, 1972. Their union was a testament to true partnership and mutual respect, filled with shared passions and adventures. Together, they explored the world, with the Swiss Alps holding a special place in their hearts as a favorite vacation spot. Ted and Gale relished their time together, often found side by side at the piano, engrossed in a good book, or strolling through nature on long walks. Their love story was blessed with three wonderful children: Adam, Kasey, and Ben Christian, who were the pride and joy of Ted’s life. Ted was a dedicated and nurturing father, always encouraging his children to pursue their passions and embrace life's opportunities. His wisdom and support were constants in their lives, and his legacy lives on through them. Ted was also a doting grandfather to five cherished grandchildren. His playful spirit and gentle guidance left an indelible mark on each of them, fostering a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world. Throughout his life, Ted was known for his gentle demeanor, kindness, and unwavering integrity. He touched the lives of many with his generosity and was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His love for music and the arts was profound, and he often brought joy to others with his piano playing. A private funeral ceremony will be held on October 26, 2026, at 3:30 PM, honoring Ted's wishes for an intimate gathering of family and close friends to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ted's memory to a cancer research organization of your choice, to support the ongoing fight against the disease he battled so bravely. Ted will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
