With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tava Clark, a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on April 12, 2026, at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, after a courageous battle with stage 4 gallbladder cancer. Born on July 2, 1976, in Trenton, NJ, Tava graced this world with her vibrant spirit and left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Tava was the cherished daughter of Charles and Marilyn Clark, and she now joins her beloved mother, Marilyn R. Clark, who predeceased her in 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth carried forward by her devoted son, Jacob Clark, who was her pride and joy. Also mourning her passing are her loving siblings, her sister Hope Ratliff of Delanco, NJ, and her brother Charles Clark III, along with his partner Porsha Dillard. Tava's life was enriched by her dear aunt Fay Ellis and her partner Roachelis, who held a special place in her heart.
A proud graduate of Hamilton High North (Nottingham) in 1994, Tava's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication and work ethic. She initially built her career at Marianns and McGraw Hill before dedicating the last 22 years to Waste Management, where her colleagues became lifelong friends who admired her professionalism and warmth.
Tava's passions extended far beyond her career. She found immense joy in cooking and took pride in creating delicious meals for her family and friends. Her heart swelled with love as she watched her son Jacob grow into the remarkable young man he is today. Tava's love for house music often found her dancing in the park, her laughter echoing through the air. A gifted decorator, she transformed her home into a haven of beauty and comfort, a testament to her creative spirit. Above all, Tava cherished spending time with her family and friends, always making sure they felt welcome and valued, her warm smile a constant beacon of love.
Known for her caring nature, Tava touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel special, and her presence was a comforting embrace for all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A celebration of Tava's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the T.L. Hutton Family and Friends Funeral Home, located on Rt. 130 N, Burlington, NJ. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Tava's memory and the beautiful life she led.
In this time of sorrow, Tava's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Virtua Hospital and Samaritan Hospice for their compassionate care and support during her final days.
