Tee was the beloved wife of Jane Smith, with whom she shared 48 joyous years of marriage. Their union, celebrated on June 15, 1975, in Chicago, was a testament to a partnership built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and deep affection. Together, they raised three wonderful children, instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and integrity. Tee's family was her pride and joy, and her devotion to them was unwavering.
Tee's academic journey began at Lincoln High School, where she graduated in 1965. Her thirst for knowledge led her to State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in 1969, and later, an MBA from City College. Her career was marked by her remarkable intellect and dedication, inspiring those around her to strive for excellence.
A woman of many talents, Tee was an avid fisher who eagerly anticipated each opening day of the season. Her love for the outdoors extended to her vegetable garden, where she tended to her plants with care and joy, often sharing her bounty of tomatoes with neighbors and friends. Tee's creative spirit shone through her woodworking, crafting beautiful furniture pieces that became treasured heirlooms for her grandchildren.
Tee was blessed with a large and loving family, including four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and light into her life. Her legacy of love will continue to flourish through them, as they carry forward the values she instilled in them.
A celebration of Tee's life will take place on March 12, 2026, at 2:29 PM at Faith Clinic Church, located at 12260 Camden Ave, Detroit, MI, 48213. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her remarkable life, sharing stories, and finding solace in the memories of a woman who touched so many hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tee's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place.
As we bid farewell to Tee, we hold her in our hearts, cherishing the love and light she brought into our lives. May her soul find peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
