It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tarry Lynn McMillan, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Tarry departed this world on September 5, 2026, at the age of 69, following a massive heart attack. Born on February 20, 1957, in Ozark, MI, Tarry lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family and community.
Tarry was the beloved son of Judd and Lois McMillan, who instilled in him the values of kindness and resilience. Although he is now reunited with his parents and multiple siblings who predeceased him, his spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched.
In 1975, Tarry married the love of his life, Kathleen, and together they built a beautiful life over 50 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story is one that serves as a testament to enduring partnership and commitment. Tarry was a devoted father to his son Andrew, who resides with his wife Kaylee in Wisconsin, and his daughter Nicole, who lives with her husband Stephen in Kentucky. He was the proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.
A pillar of his community, Tarry was known for his gentle spirit and his readiness to lend a helping hand. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his generosity, and his ability to make everyone feel at home.
A service to honor Tarry’s life will be held on September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ozark Grace Brethren Church, located at 354 State Route 45, Ozark, MI 42076. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Tarry’s life and to share in the memories that he leaves behind. Following the service, a first viewing will take place, with a second viewing scheduled for September 10, 2026. Burial and a luncheon will complete the commemorations on September 11, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Tarry’s memory. This gesture will honor his legacy of giving and support the causes he held dear.
