It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of Tanya Salazar, a cherished sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on November 12, 2025, at the age of 63. Tanya passed away at Clovis Community Hospital after battling multiple illnesses. Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find solace in celebrating a life that was rich in love, laughter, and kindness. Born on June 22, 1962, in Fresno, CA, Tanya was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel and Shirley Salazar. Growing up in a close-knit family, she was a beacon of warmth and generosity. These qualities were evident throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Tanya graduated from Hoover High School in 1980 and pursued her passion for finance at Fresno State University, where she studied multiple courses. Her career was marked by dedication and excellence, spending 15 years at Dunavent and 20 years with the IRS. Tanya's work ethic was matched only by her commitment to those she loved, always putting family first. Her love for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Rams was only rivaled by her passion for Christmas decorating, a tradition she shared with her family and friends, bringing joy and festive spirit to each holiday season. Tanya's home was always filled with laughter and warmth, a testament to her loving nature. Tanya was predeceased by her parents, Manuel and Shirley Salazar, who she lovingly honored by gifting them a memorable trip to Pearl Harbor and Hawaii. She is survived by her devoted brother, Chris Salazar, and her adoring nieces, Felicia and Vannessa Salazar; nephew, Chris Salazar; great-nieces, Malaya, Miliani, Star-Makayla Rodrigues, Isabella, and Viviana Gutierrez, and Aryiana Salazar; and great-nephew, Julian Gutierrez. She also leaves behind her uncles, James and Ralph Salazar, aunts Linda Vasquez, Sarah Ramirez, Stella Ureno, and numerous cherished cousins. Tanya's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Clovis Community Hospital and the dedicated team at Keystone Post Acute for their exceptional care and support. A service to honor and celebrate Tanya's life will be held on March 17, 2026, at 9:00 AM at St. Mary’s Parish, located at 823 O Street, Sanger, CA 93656. We invite all who knew her to join us in paying tribute to a life well-lived and a spirit that will forever remain in our hearts.
