Tanio Charlette Roberson

Tanio Charlette "moose" Roberson, age 58 passed away on August 17, 2026. Born on November 1, 1967 in Austin, Texas, Tanio lived a life filled with love, grace, and unwavering faith. She grew up surrounded by family and faith and accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Austin Texas. Tanio was the beloved daughter of Annie Josenberger and the late Austin Roberson. She was preceded in death by her father, her sister Torrie E. Rebuck, her brother Kenny Brown, and her cherished grandparents and aunts. Tanio's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her surviving family members: Her mother Annie Josenberger, her siblings Debrah and Derick Cairo, Wayne Roberson, and Lorie Josenberger. Her nieces Lydia and Olivia Cairo, and nephews Naaman Roberson and Cameron Scott, will forever hold her memory close. A alumni graduate of Lanier High School in 1986, Tanio pursued her love for learning by attending the University of Houston before transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles. Her academic journey culminated in a Bachelor’s Degree in English/Communication and a Master’s in Theological Studies. Tanio was an eternal student, cherishing the opportunity to mentor and tutor others, sharing her wisdom and encouraging young minds. Professionally, Tanio’s career was as diverse as it was fulfilling. She worked as a sales representative in retail and also graced the world as a face and hand model. Her work took her from Austin to Houston and ultimately to Los Angeles, where she touched countless lives with her grace and kindness for 16 years. Tanio was a passionate member of her community, serving in the choir of a mega Baptist church in Los Angeles where her voice lifted hearts and inspired many. Her love for sports, literature, long walks, and music—especially 70's & 80's Pop, R&B, and Gospel—was evident to all who knew her. Yet, it was her personal qualities that truly defined her: her intelligence, her witty humor, her honesty, and her love for debate. Tanio was a simple person who found joy in the everyday moments, always observant of fairness and justice. Above all, Tanio’s life was a testament to her faith. She found strength and solace in her relationship with the Lord, a guiding light that saw her through her courageous battle against illnesses. Her enduring faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. In memory of Tanio Charlette Roberson, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Cancer or Heart disease charities in her honor, celebrating her life and her unwavering courageous spirit. Tanio's legacy of love, laughter, and strength will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of the Lord she so deeply cherished.
