Tammy Shattuck

Tammy Dee Shattuck was called home to Heaven on Friday, June 26, 2026, at her home in West Helena, Arkansas, where she was deeply loved and cared for. She was born September 11, 1963, in Helena, Arkansas, and spent the later years of her life just as she always wished, in the peace of her home and loving her family. Tammy was many things in this life: a loving and devoted mother, a proud Granny, and a beloved “Aunt K.” Above all, she was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her life was a reflection of that faith, shown through her kindness, her strength, and the way she poured into others. She had a special way of bringing people closer to Jesus, simply by how she lived and loved. She was a hard worker in every season of life, honest, dependable, always kind, and always giving her best. She was a humble steward of her home and the people Jesus blessed her with. She found joy in the simple, meaningful things. She loved writing, reading, tending to her flower beds, and creating a space where everyone felt welcome. Her home, and her heart, were always open. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Shattuck Sr. and Linda Shattuck; her sister and best friend, Lori Adams; her nephew, Jimmy Adams III; and her grandparents, Pete and Kennis Wharton, Howard and Minnie Shirley, Charles Shattuck Sr. and Lois Shattuck; her aunts, Linda Henry and Beverly Allen; her uncle, Don Shattuck; and her great aunt, Marion Tidwell. The greatest blessing of Tammy's life was being a mother. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Lee Maslowe of West Helena, Arkansas; CJ Watkins (Ida) of Portland, Texas; Shana Raines (Dellous) of West Helena, Arkansas; Clay Watkins (Lauren) of Charleston, South Carolina. Her love extended far beyond family by blood. She was also blessed with chosen children: Brenton Morgan (Dynastee) of Pontotoc, Mississippi; Jeremy Newsom (Morgan) of West Helena, Arkansas; Darius Holder (Kaitlyn) of Lexa, Arkansas; and Adam Rowland of West Helena, Arkansas, all of whom she cherished as her own. She was a proud and loving Granny to Nathan Wright; Luke Wright (Kaya); Dayton Watkins; Kameron Watkins; Dylan Watkins; Chloe Watkins; Asher Watkins; Lorelai Raines; Bryer Watkins; Austin Watkins; and Wryn Watkins. She was also blessed with one great granddaughter, Avalynn Wright. Tammy also leaves behind her honorary grandchildren, Carson Newsom and Kaisyn Carpenter, who were deeply loved and held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her brothers, Robert Shattuck Jr. of West Helena, Arkansas, and Steven Shattuck of Carrolton, Georgia; her forever sister and best friend, Tina Shattuck of Lexa, Arkansas; nieces and nephews: Marshall Adams (Wendy), Zach Adams (Lindsay), Mallory Adams, Kristin Lawson (Michael), Steven Shattuck Jr. and Jacob Shattuck, along with 12 great nieces and great nephews. Tammy will be remembered for her light, her laughter, her imagination, and the way she loved without limits. She had a gentle wisdom about her and a presence that made people feel seen, safe, and cared for. Being a Granny was one of her greatest joys, and loving her children was the purpose she carried proudly every single day. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and devotion. Her life pointed others toward Jesus and reminded everyone around her what truly matters. "Well done, good and faithful servant."
