It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Tammy Kay Wilson, who left us peacefully on February 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tammy was born on November 22, 1965, in Houston, Texas, to her loving parents, Sharon Chance Carter and James Carter. Her journey through life was marked by her endless compassion, dedication, and radiant spirit that touched everyone she met. Tammy grew up in Houston, where she attended Houston ISD and later pursued higher education at the University of Houston Clear Lake. Her passion for nurturing young minds led her to a fulfilling career at TCISD, where she devoted 18 years to shaping the lives of countless students at Levi Fry Intermediate. Her dedication to education and her students was unparalleled and will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. On July 1, 2000, Tammy married the love of her life, Timothy Wilson. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with four wonderful children who were the center of her universe. Tammy's love and devotion to her family were boundless, and her legacy continues through her children and three cherished grandchildren. Tammy was predeceased by her father-in-law, Alden Wilson, whom she held dear in her heart. She is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Wilson, and their loving children: Derick Farris, Marjorie Farris, Ethan Farris, Amanda Rubach, Jonathan Rubach, Jayden Dressman, Maisyn Stubbs, Bailey Garcia, Christopher Garcia, and Caitlin Wilson. She also leaves behind her beloved parents, Sharon Chance Carter and James Carter, her sister Tina Ferrell and brother-in-law Geoffrey Ferrell, and her dear companion, Nefty. Tammy's family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Houston Methodist Memorial Hospital in Clear Lake, Texas, for their unwavering support and kindness during her final days. They also wish to thank all friends and family who have stood by them during this emotional time. A celebration of Tammy's life will be held on March 4, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Carnes Funeral Home, located at 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591.
