September 21, 1964 — June 11, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tammy Halbrook, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, who departed this world on June 11, 2026, at the age of 61. Tammy's journey began on September 21, 1964, in the charming town of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, where she was welcomed into the world by her loving parents, Dennis and Sandra Todl. Tammy's life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and the quiet strength that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She spent her formative years in Manitowoc, where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1981. Her pursuit of education laid the foundation for a meaningful career dedicated to helping others. Tammy worked as a claims processor, initially serving the state of Indiana, before lending her expertise to Cigna. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her warmth and compassion, qualities that endeared her to colleagues and clients alike. In 1998, Tammy married the love of her life, Shane Halbrook, and together they shared 22 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Their union was a beacon of companionship and mutual respect, a testament to their unwavering devotion to each other. Shane preceded her in death, but the cherished memories of their life together remain an enduring legacy of love. Tammy's family was her heart's anchor, and she cherished the bonds she shared with them. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dennis and Sandra, her devoted husband Shane, and her brother, Dennis Todl Jr. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her surviving sister, Odette, and her aunts and uncles, Steve, Linda, Sally, Richie, and Donna. Tammy also leaves behind her treasured cousins, Kristin (Steve) and Nathan, who will forever hold dear the moments spent in her nurturing presence. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tammy was a woman of many passions. She had a keen eye for beauty and a penchant for history, which she expressed through her love of hunting for antiques. Her hands were often busy with the delicate art of cross-stitching, where she created pieces that were as beautiful as they were personal. Tammy was also a devoted fan of country music, finding solace and joy in its melodies. As we remember Tammy Halbrook, we celebrate a life well-lived, a soul that radiated warmth and kindness, and a heart that embraced both family and friends with unconditional love. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched. A private family service will be held to honor Tammy's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Tammy's spirit of giving and compassion. Rest in peace, dear Tammy. Your light continues to shine in our hearts, guiding us with the love and joy you so freely shared.
