Tammy Carrier

August 28, 1963 — July 30, 2026

Tammy Carrier, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, tragically departed this world on July 30, 2026, at the age of 62, due to injuries from a car accident. Born on August 28, 1963, in Peoria, Illinois, Tammy was a beacon of warmth and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Tammy was the cherished daughter of the late Charlie and Alyssa Mudd, whose loving spirit she carried throughout her life. She grew up in Peoria and formed deep roots in her community, where she met and married the love of her life, Howard Carrier Jr, on July 9, 1993. Together, they built a beautiful life over 33 years of marriage, raising two wonderful sons, Ira Carrier and Adam Rodrick. Her family was the center of her world, and she was the heart of theirs. Known for her warm smile and infectious laugh, Tammy had a unique gift for bringing comfort and joy to those around her. She was generous with her hugs and her time, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tammy's passion for service was evident in her dedication to volunteering at the local animal shelter, where she spent countless hours caring for and loving the animals. Her gentle nature and love for creatures great and small reflected her boundless empathy and kindness. In her leisure time, Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures of life—playing bingo, getting lost in a good book, and sharing laughter with friends and family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Howard, her sons Ira and Adam, and her beloved brother, Micheal Mudd. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Carle Health Methodist Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided during this difficult time. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Tammy's life and legacy. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tammy's memory to the local animal shelter where she found so much joy and purpose. Tammy's light will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the love she shared with us all.
