In Loving Memory of Tammy Atencio Tammy Atencio, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her own bed on July 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with COPD. Born in Greenfield, Ohio, on November 26, 1968, Tammy was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tammy was the cherished daughter of Vedus Stepp, and she now joins her mother in eternal rest. She is also predeceased by her two sisters, Beverly Gee and Gail Holsinger, her grandson Brayden Atencio, and her first great-granddaughter, Chanele Porter. Her legacy lives on through her loving family and those she touched with her remarkable spirit. Tammy's life was rich with the love of her family, whom she held in her heart as her greatest treasures. She leaves behind her devoted children: Summer (Jeff) Tedford, Samantha (Dave) Long, Raven (Tkara) Atencio, Robert (Ciara) Atencio, and Ryan (Ariel) Atencio. She is also survived by her brother David Ellis, and her sisters Kimberly Malone, Delores Stepp, Wanda (Kelley) Leeth, Lisa (William) Conley, and Tracey Ellis. Her heart was full of joy for her grandchildren: five granddaughters, Paishence, Paige, Mearackle, Morgan, and Aubrielle, and six grandsons, Donald, Blake, Jayce, Cayden, Karson, and Hudson. Tammy's legacy continues with her great-granddaughter Josephine, and two great-grandsons, Oliver and Camden, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tammy's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the simple joys she found in her favorite pastimes. She had a special fondness for Winnie the Pooh, and her eyes would light up with excitement whenever she played Bingo. Her incredible devotion to her family was unwavering, and her heart of gold shone brightly as she cared for everyone around her. There was nothing Tammy wouldn't do for her family and friends, and her nurturing spirit will be deeply missed. A service celebrating Tammy's life will be held on July 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Carlisle Community Church. Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of a woman whose life was a testament to love and selflessness. As her family so beautifully expressed, "Heaven just gained the most amazing woman we have ever known, and you're going to be missed more and more every day! Although our hearts weren't ready to let you go, we know you fought a long hard fight for us, and we're just glad you can be at peace now and no more suffering. You're now our angel. Fly high, Momma." Tammy Atencio's departure leaves an irreplaceable void, yet her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
