It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt reverence that we announce the passing of Tamika Jones, a beloved companion, mother, grandmother, and friend. Tamika departed this world on April 30, 2026, at the age of 58, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love and warmth of her family, who cherished her deeply.
Tamika was born on March 8, 1968, in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia, to her devoted parents, Willie and Whitney Jones. She was greeted into this world with love and care, beginning a life that would be characterized by resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family. She has now joined her parents, who predeceased her, in eternal peace.
A graduate of high school, Tamika chose to dedicate her professional life to the service of others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her gentle touch and kind heart brought comfort to countless individuals, and her commitment to her work was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Her colleagues and patients alike remember her for her dedication and the warmth she brought to every room.
Tamika's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her beloved partner, Terrance Stallings, whose companionship brought her immense joy and strength. She leaves behind her cherished children, James Thomas and Rebecca Stephens, who will continue to carry her legacy of love and kindness. Tamika was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren, who were the light of her life and in whom her spirit will forever live on.
Tamika's passions in life extended beyond her professional endeavors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter and love. She was a beacon of light and a source of unwavering support to all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Tamika's life and honor her memory at a service on May 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church. It is here that we will gather to reflect on her remarkable journey and the indelible mark she has left on our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Tamika’s memory to a cancer research foundation of choice, as a tribute to her valiant fight and enduring spirit.
Though Tamika's time with us was far too short, her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. As we say goodbye, we carry her in our hearts, eternally grateful for the love she bestowed upon us and the lessons she imparted.
May Tamika rest in peace, forever embraced by the love she so generously gave to others.
