It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Tameshia LaShay Porter, who left this world far too soon on March 12, 2026, at the tender age of 26. Born on December 23, 1999, in Jackson, Mississippi, Tameshia was the cherished daughter of Tina Porter, who raised her with love, strength, and unwavering support. From a young age, Tameshia exhibited an adventurous spirit and a zest for life that touched everyone she encountered. Her love for fishing, drawing, and creating were more than just hobbies; they were expressions of her vibrant personality and her desire to find beauty and peace in the world around her. Whether she was casting her line into a tranquil lake or sketching a moment of inspiration, Tameshia found joy and solace in her pursuits. A loving and caring person, Tameshia was known for her big heart—one she often tried to hide behind a gentle smile and quiet demeanor. Her compassion and kindness were evident in her dreams and aspirations. She longed to explore the world, to immerse herself in the richness of different cultures, and to one day acquire land spacious enough for her family and siblings to live and grow together. Her wild imagination and curiosity about the world were boundless, and she delighted in discovering new facts and ideas, always eager to learn more. A service to celebrate Tameshia's life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church, located at 3420 Albermarle Rd, Jackson, MS 39213. We invite all who knew and loved Tameshia to join us in honoring her life and legacy, sharing in memories that highlight the joy she brought to our lives. In remembering Tameshia, the family wishes to extend a heartfelt message: "Tameshia was a loving soul. She always discovered weird facts and loved to learn about different cultures. She wanted to travel the world and live in different countries. She had a wild imagination." Her dreams, though unfulfilled, will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, inspiring us to seek adventure, embrace learning, and cherish the bonds of family and friendship. Tameshia's legacy is one of love, curiosity, and an unyielding spirit that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her devoted mother, Tina Porter, along with an extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory dear. May she rest in eternal peace, her dreams now boundless in the heavens above.
