September 4, 1952 – March 27, 2026 With hearts full of love and sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Tamatha Collins, who left this world peacefully at home on March 27, 2026, after complications from a heart attack earlier that day. Born on September 4, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, Tamatha lived a life marked by resilience, dedication, and an enduring commitment to those she loved. In 1970, Tamatha embarked on a remarkable career in the liquor industry in Texas, a journey that spanned four decades until her retirement in 2010. Her work ethic was unparalleled, and she was known for her steadfast dedication and expertise in her field. While her career was a significant aspect of her life, it was her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that truly defined her. Tamatha met the love of her life, John Collins, and the two were married in 1971. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around their family. Though she was known for her cool demeanor, those close to her understood the depth of her love and devotion. She had a unique way of expressing her affection, often through quiet, meaningful gestures that left an indelible mark on those she cherished. Tamatha's life was enriched by her passions for traveling and wine. She found joy in exploring new places and savoring the flavors of life, often sharing these experiences with her family and friends. Her adventurous spirit and refined palate were sources of inspiration to all who knew her. Family was the cornerstone of Tamatha's existence. She is survived by her loving children, daughters Tonya and Pamela, and son Monty. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Each of them carries forward her spirit of strength and love. Though Tamatha briefly attended school, she made the selfless decision to leave her studies to help provide for her family in their time of need, a testament to her unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her life was a tapestry woven with threads of sacrifice, love, and devotion—a legacy that will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Tamatha's life and legacy. While we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life she led, forever grateful for the love and lessons she imparted. Rest in peace, dear Tamatha. Your legacy of love endures in the hearts of those you leave behind.
