Talon Gilbert Zufelt, born on February 18, 1998, in Provo, Utah, passed away on August 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with epilepsy. Talon was a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose presence brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Talon was the cherished son of Heather Marie Thompson and Bobby Gilbert Zufelt, who survive him along with his devoted siblings, Jade, Gabriella, Calen, and Javen. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Gilbert Zufelt, whose memory Talon held dear. From an early age, Talon displayed a zest for life that was evident in his love for the great outdoors. An avid fisherman, he found peace and fulfillment in nature, often hiking and exploring the beautiful landscapes around him. Talon's passion for life extended into his love for video games, where he would immerse himself while jamming out to his favorite tunes, ever the lover of music. Talon's career at Jimmy John's was marked by dedication and loyalty, traits that he carried into every aspect of his life. His colleagues and customers alike were touched by his warmth and generosity of spirit. Talon had a unique ability to make friends wherever he went, his laughter often the soundtrack to gatherings with family and friends. Known as the protector of his family, Talon had a mischievous streak that was the heart of many cherished memories. Always ready with a joke and a smile, he brought lightness and joy to every occasion. His independent spirit and the rhythm of his own drum guided him through life, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Talon's life, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable young man he was. In lieu of flowers, Talon's family kindly suggests that donations be made in his memory to the Epilepsy Foundation, based in Bowie, Maryland. This foundation was close to Talon's heart as he bravely faced his own challenges. Talon Gilbert Zufelt will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, kindness, and adventurous soul will be remembered always, as we cherish the moments shared and the love that endures.
