With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Tabitha Jackson, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Tabitha departed this world on May 1, 2026, at the age of 48, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on August 21, 1977, in the close-knit community of Atoka, Oklahoma, Tabitha was a beacon of light whose spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Tabitha was the treasured daughter of Patricia Ann and the late Bruce Shields. Her father's passing left a void that Tabitha filled with love and resilience, traits that defined her character throughout her life. She was a devoted mother to her children, Tuleah, Tijanae, and Eric Jackson, and a doting grandmother to three adoring grandchildren. In her family, she found her greatest joy and purpose, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire them. A proud alumna of DeSoto High School, Tabitha was known for her intelligence and wit. Her sharp mind and quick humor made her a delightful presence, and she had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, making everyone feel valued and appreciated. Whether it was a casual conversation or a heartfelt discussion, Tabitha's genuine interest in the lives of others made her a beloved confidante and friend to many. Tabitha embraced life with enthusiasm and was known for being the life of the party. Her laughter was infectious, and her vibrant energy could brighten the darkest of days. She had an innate ability to lift spirits and create joy, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know her. Above all, Tabitha's greatest passion was her family. She dedicated herself to nurturing and caring for her children and grandchildren, creating a loving and supportive home where laughter and love were abundant. Her nurturing spirit and selfless care were the cornerstones of her family, and her memory will continue to guide and inspire them. A celebration of Tabitha's life will be held on May 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Brown's Funeral Service, Inc., located at 718 W 13th St, Atoka, Oklahoma 74525. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. During the service, we will remember the warmth, love, and joy that Tabitha brought into our lives and find solace in the lasting impact she made on each of us. The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have shown their love and support during this difficult time. Your presence and kindness have been a testament to the love and impact that Tabitha had on so many. As we gather to remember her, we thank you for letting her know she is loved and will truly be missed.
