In Loving Memory

T A John (Kalaparambil)
January 20, 1946 — April 5, 2026
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of T A John (Kalaparambil) on April 5, 2026, in the comforting presence of his beloved wife, Mary. Born on January 20, 1946, in the serene town of Thiruvalla, John's journey was marked by love, faith, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.
John's life was a testament to the virtues of dedication, humor, and faith. He spent 35 fruitful years serving at Bajaj Auto Ltd in Pune, where he was known not only for his professional acumen but also for his jovial spirit and kind heart. After retiring voluntarily, he devoted his time to nurturing his family and fostering relationships, a testament to the deep bonds he cherished.
On July 25, 1976, John and Mary (Valliyanethu) joined their lives in holy matrimony in Kerala, embarking on a 50-year journey filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Johnsy and Johnson, in Pune, creating a home where joy and faith were ever-present. His family was his heartbeat, and he took immense pride in being a grandfather to young Neona, delighting in her every milestone.
John was a pillar of the St. Thomas Orthodox Syrian Church community, where he served as a Committee Member and Treasurer, contributing significantly to the church’s growth and outreach. His involvement extended beyond duty; it was a reflection of his deep faith and commitment to service. His passion for the teachings of Jesus was infectious, often engaging others with insightful questions and delightful humor that left a lasting imprint on all who knew him.
His character was a tapestry of warmth, wit, and wisdom. Known for his slapsticks and quick wit, John had an extraordinary ability to make anyone feel valued and at home. He was hyper-flexible, never overbearing, and a source of comfort and strength—a father with a lion’s heart, a husband with godly love, a brother who exemplified sacrificial affection, and a servant of God with a Levite's devotion.
Preceded in death by his uncle Mr. K C Philip, his aunt Mrs. K C Philip, and his elder siblings, John now joins them in eternal peace. He leaves behind his devoted wife Mary, daughter Johnsy and her husband Manish Philip, son Johnson John, and granddaughter Neona, who will continue to cherish his legacy of love and laughter.
A service to celebrate John's life will be held on April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. George Orthodox Syrian Church in Akurdi. The family extends their deepest gratitude to His Grace Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, the Vicar, members of St. George Orthodox Syrian Church, and the compassionate staff of Ruby Hall in Pune for their unwavering support during John's illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the church or a charity of choice, reflecting John's lifelong dedication to helping others.
John's life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will forever be in our hearts. May his soul rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love he so generously shared with the world.
