Sylvia Ponce Carreon

Sylvia Ponce Carreon, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, went to be with the lord and surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 7, 1969 at the age of 58 in San Antonio, Texas, Sylvia was the beloved daughter of Jose Ponce and the late Esther V. Ponce. She is now reunited with her mother and her devoted husband, Jose Carreon Jr., in eternal rest. Sylvia's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her deep love for those around her. A graduate of Lanier High School, she pursued her passion for beauty by starting cosmetology school there, which led her to a fulfilling career as a hairstylist. Her warm heart and gentle spirit made her not only a talented stylist but also a trusted confidante to her clients and friends. Married to Jose Carreon Jr, Sylvia shared over 35 years of marriage, they raised their son, Jaden Carreon, who was the light of Sylvia's life. Her nurturing spirit and strength live on in him, as well as in her siblings, brothers in law and sister in law , Robert Ponce,( Elizabeth,) Javier Ponce, Maria Ponce( Norberto Martinez) .Sylvia's legacy also continues through her nephews Hector Montalvo, Liam,Javier III and Houston.Great niece Sophie and Great nephew Christopher . Her faith in the Lord was a guiding force throughout her life, and she found great solace and strength in her spiritual journey. In the words of the family, Sylvia's journey was one of courage and faith: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7–8. Sylvia Ponce Carreon will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness lives on in the hearts she touched.
