Sylvester was the beloved son of the late Sylvester Turner Sr. and Loi Hall, and stepson to Elizabeth Turner. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Agnes Turner, his father, stepmother, mother, and cherished sister, Jacqueline Armstrong. Despite these profound losses, Sylvester remained a resilient and steadfast presence for his family and friends.
He is survived by his two devoted daughters, Yvette McNabb, alongside her husband Ruben, and Daniella Turner, with her partner Brian. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Desiree McNabb, a talented artist, Nyasia McNabb, Devon Davis and his wife Shaquilla, Tyvon Smith, Daniel Smith, and Ruben C. McNabb III, along with five cherished great-grandchildren. Sylvester also leaves behind his loving brother, Robert L. Turner, who stood by him through all of life's joys and challenges.
A dedicated entrepreneur, Sylvester was a self-made man who ran a successful landscaping and handyman business for over 35 years. His tireless work ethic and commitment to his craft were admired by many, and his services were considered indispensable to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Sylvester's quick wit and stern attitude were well-known, yet his kindness and generosity touched all who crossed his path.
Sylvester delighted in the simple pleasures of life, from fixing things around the house to enjoying a good football or basketball game. His love for oldies R&B music was a soundtrack to many family gatherings, where his laughter and stories echoed through the room. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Sylvester's friends, family, and clients knew they could rely on him in times of need.
A celebration of Sylvester's life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Mitchell's Funeral Home, located at 501 Fairvilla Road, Orlando, Florida 32808. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are welcome to honor his memory and celebrate the remarkable life he led.
