Sydney Sharaine Stewart

July 17, 1991 — September 12, 2026

Sydney Sharaine Stewart, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on September 12, 2026. Born on July 17, 1991, in Detroit, MI, Sydney was the beloved daughter of Ernest L. Stewart and Jonetta Stewart. She was the youngest daughter and cherished sister to LaToya, Travis, and Terrance. Sydney was many things to many people: a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, extended family member, friend, and devoted fur mom. But to those who truly knew her, Sydney was simply Sydney, unapologetically herself. She had a personality that could light up a room. Sydney was funny, loving, adventurous, protective, generous, outspoken, and wonderfully unfiltered. She had a way of saying exactly what was on her mind, often bringing laughter along with it. Her authenticity was one of the things that made her unforgettable. Sydney's educational journey saw her graduate from Macomb High School in 2009, after which she pursued her passion for hair and beauty, earning her cosmetology license at Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology. Sydney worked Stellantis/Chrysler for 11 years. She had a passion for music, and anything that allowed her imagination and creativity to shine. She loved exploring the world and experiencing new places, embracing the adventure and excitement that life had to offer. Sydney was a woman of many passions. Her love for travel took her to various places, where she soaked up the culture and beauty of the world. Her heart was equally captured by her canine companion, her beloved Shih Tzu and fur baby, Lucifer Morningstar. Sydney love for Lucifer was a special part of who she was. He was not simply a pet, he was family, her companion, and a treasure part of her life. Sydney found immense pleasure in creating beautiful works of art, often sharing this joy with family and friends during arts and crafts sessions. She was also a true lover of good food. Sydney enjoyed cooking, eating, discovering new foods, and try different flavors and experiences. Whether creating something herself or enjoying a new dish, food was one of the many ways she found joy in life. A proud Detroit Lions fan, Sydney carried her Detroit spirit with her wherever she went. Sydney lived her 35 years with a spirit that was uniquely hers. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, explored freely, created passionately and protected the people and things she loved. She may have been, the youngest daughter, but her presence was never small. Though her time with us was far too short, the memories she created will remain with the people who loved her. Her laughter, her honesty, her creativity, her adventurous spirit, and even those moments when was just a little too unfiltered will be remembered and cherished. Sydney Sharaine Stewart will be deeply missed, lovely remembered, and forever carried in the the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone blessed to have known her. Rest peacefully, Sydney Your life was a gift. Your memory is a blessing And your presence will never be forgotten A service to honor and celebrate Sydney's life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 5:30 PM at Clora Funeral Home, located at 15251 Harper, Detroit, MI 48224. The Stewart family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Clora Funeral Home for their compassionate care during this difficult time. Sydney will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. A Sister's Trbute to Sydney My sister. My best friend. My favorite Person. Sydney, How do I put a lifetime of memories, laughter, conversations, and love into words? I could write forever and still never say enough. I will miss our "Hey Sister greetings, our endless LEGO conversations, and knowing that you had me saved in my phone astral Sister ." I will miss your calls asking, "Did you smoke?" your famous eyeballs emojis when I shared my Uber ride, and you calling to ask me to watch Lucifer Morningstar because you didn't want to leave your baby alone, Sydney, Terrance, and I were the Cancer babies-the triplets. We understood each other without always needing words. After losing Aarie, you and I became closer. Our love for her strength our bond, and somewhere along the way, my little sister became my best friend and favorite person. You were the person I could talk to for hours about everything and absolutely nothing. You listened when I needed to vent, and I listened when you needed someone to remind you that your feelings were valid. We shared our love of books, music, food, creativity, travel, cosmetology, The Grinch, Harry Potter, and so many little things that made life special. I was always nervous when you traveled, but I was so proud of you for never letting fear stop you from living. You believed you could do it, and then you did it. I will treasure our Cooper's Hawk trips, our Grinch pictures, our matching minds and outfits, and that unforgettable birthday when we bought each other the exact same Harry Potter shirt without knowing it. That was us, always somehow thinking alike. Sydney, I am grateful for every laugh, every conversation, every memory, every "Hey Sister", and every moment that I never knew would be so precious. You were my little sister. You were my friend. You were my best friend. You were my favorite person. I will carry you with me everywhere. I love you, Sydney. I miss you. And I always will. My Sister. My Best Friend. My Favorite Person. Until we meet again. Your Real Sister, LaToya.
