Swim Shady

June 1, 2026 — June 21, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Swim Shady on June 21, 2026, in the gentle embrace of his home in Bikini Bottom. Swim entered this world on June 1, 2026, in Queensbury, New York, born to the loving Dive and Splash Shady. In his brief yet impactful time with us, Swim touched countless lives with his unwavering zest for discovery and profound love for his family and community. Swim was a beacon of academic excellence, having graduated from Bikini Bottom Central School before pursuing a PhD in Marine Biology from the esteemed Goo Lagoon University. His quest for knowledge was unparalleled, and he dedicated his life to exploring the mysteries of the ocean. A proud patriot, Swim served his country with honor as a Seaman 1st Class in the United States Navy. Here, he had the privilege of mentoring countless generations of submarine warfare fighters, instilling in them the same dedication and courage that he carried throughout his life. Swim's career was as varied as it was distinguished. He worked tirelessly as a Warrant Officer with the Warren County Sheriff's Office, where his commitment to justice and community safety was evident in every task he undertook. Additionally, Swim was an active member of the LGPC Scuba Unit and served as an Assistant Chief with the Hague Fire Department, roles in which his leadership and compassion shone brightly. In his personal life, Swim was known for his love of exploration, often found either gliding through the water or enjoying the simple joy of floating and sinking with grace. Friends and family fondly remember his unique enthusiasm for attending baby showers, where his kind spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all. Swim is predeceased by his grandparents, Free Willy and Incarcerated Willy, on his father's side, and Marlin Seasalt and Dory Seasalt on his mother's side. His legacy of love and learning is carried forward by his devoted parents, Dive and Splash Shady, and the countless lives he touched during his journey. A service to celebrate Swim's life will be held on June 21, 2026, at 2:45 PM at the Communications - Men's Bathroom, located at 1400 State Route 9, Lake George, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Eight Mile Youth Program, ensuring that Swim's passion for nurturing young minds continues to inspire future generations. Contributions can also be made to the "Swim Shady - The Real Swim Shady" Memorial Fund. Though Swim's time with us was brief, his impact was immeasurable. We take solace in knowing that his spirit will forever glide through the waters he so dearly loved, exploring new horizons with the same curiosity and joy he brought to our lives. May he rest in peace, embraced by the eternal waves of the ocean he cherished.
