In Loving Memory of Suzanne Annette Powers Suzanne Annette Powers, affectionately known to many as "Suzi," graced this world on August 14, 1963, in the city of Rochester, New York. Born to the late Jessie Thomas Anderson and Savannah Mary Anderson, she was a cherished daughter and a beloved sister to Jackie, Tiffany, and Jessie Jr. Suzanne's journey on this earth came to a serene close on August 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Throughout her life, Suzanne was known for her unwavering dedication and hard work. She proudly devoted over 20 years of her professional life to Howard and Hannah before embracing a well-earned retirement. On July 16, 2005, Suzanne found her soulmate and married Kevin Powers. Their union was a testament to love, laughter, and lasting companionship, creating a tapestry of cherished memories. Suzanne's greatest legacy is her family, to whom she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was the proud mother of eight wonderful children: Tyler Smith, Taylor Smith, Jamila Powers, Kanika Powers, Rashida Powers, Kevin Powers Jr., Faith Powers, and Jovan Powers. Her heart was further filled with joy by her 20 grandchildren, each of whom brought light and happiness into her life. Known for her kindness, generosity, and vibrant personality, Suzanne had an athletic spirit that inspired those around her. She nurtured a special love for plants and found joy in shopping, always embracing life with enthusiasm and zest. Her laughter was infectious, and her joyful spirit could illuminate any room. Suzanne had a rare gift for making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Though she has departed from this world, Suzanne's love, laughter, and the beautiful memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her presence will be dearly missed, but her spirit will endure in the stories and smiles she left behind. A service to honor Suzanne's life will be held on September 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM at 270 Scio St, Rochester, NY 14605. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of their choice in Suzanne's memory. Suzanne Annette Powers will forever be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering love for her family, and the indelible mark she left on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated, living on in the hearts of all who loved her.
