February 19, 1952 — October 4, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susie Louise Bellamy, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Susie was born on February 19, 1952, in Macon, Georgia, to Dale and Elizabeth Bellamy. She departed this world on October 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched all who knew her. Susie was a devoted daughter and sister, predeceased by her cherished parents Dale and Elizabeth, and her brother John Bellamy. She is survived by her loving sisters, Jacqueline Marie Phelps and Dorothy Ann Reynolds, whose bonds were strengthened by shared memories and endless support. Susie was also the proud mother of her daughter, Naomi Battlefield, and the adoring grandmother to three precious grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. A graduate of Middle Georgia State University, Susie dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse at Piedmont Macon North, where she worked for 32 years. Her colleagues remember her as a "steady and compassionate presence, providing comfort and care through life's most fragile and miraculous moments. Her commitment to her profession and her patients was unparalleled, and she leaves a lasting impact on all those who were fortunate enough to work alongside her." Beyond her professional life, Susie found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished spending time with her family, tending to her garden, and doting on her grandchildren. Her warmth and generosity were evident in every interaction, and her nurturing spirit was a constant source of comfort to those around her. As we celebrate Susie's life, we remember her not only for her accomplishments but for the love she shared and the strength she provided to her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she left behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Susie's memory to a charity of your choice. May Susie Louise Bellamy rest in eternal peace, forever in our hearts and memories.

God’s Garden

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
