Susan (Sue) Marie Kirk Canham, a warm-hearted and spirited soul, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on August 30, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sue was the beloved daughter of Gerald and Alice (Mathew) Kirk. She was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness, whose legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her. Sue was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Elias Canham, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and happiness. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless adventures. She was also preceded by her cherished parents, her sister Linda Stringfellow, sister Jearlee Dutton, brother Ted Kirk, and her dear son, Kevin Canham. Her memory will be lovingly held by her surviving children: Jerry Talbot, Steven Canham, Jeff Canham, Richard Canham, Shelly Tesch, and Karen Hill. Sue's legacy extends to her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. A dedicated professional, Sue worked for over 30 years in banking with Zions Bank, retiring in the late 20th century. Her career was marked by integrity and dedication, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Sue's passions extended well beyond her career. She had a deep love for the great outdoors, especially the cherished summers spent camping and fishing near Starvation Reservoir in Duchesne. These adventures, shared with her beloved Elias, family, and friends, were the source of countless treasured memories. Always surrounded by family, Sue found immense joy in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid player of card games, dominos, bingo, and keno, and she had a particular fondness for puzzles and diamond art. Sue's thoughtful nature was evident in her unwavering tradition of sending birthday cards to her loved ones each year. Sue's indomitable spirit and determination were hallmarks of her character. She approached life with a tenacity that inspired those around her, accomplishing whatever she set her mind to with grace and resolve. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and friends at the Senior Center in Lake Havasu for the love and friendship they shared with Sue. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sue's honor. A service to celebrate Sue's remarkable life will be held at a later date. The family invites all who knew and loved her to join them in remembrance of a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, and the warmth of cherished memories.
