November 14, 1954 — May 21, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susan R. Bell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Susan peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. She was 71. Born on November 14, 1954, in Winchester, Indiana, Susan was the daughter of Raymond and Maribrell Landess. Susan graduated from Winchester High School in 1973. For over 40 years, Susan was an employee at Anchor Glass. Susan was a devoted member of the Winchester Moose Lodge, where she made countless friendships. At home, Susan found joy in her flower garden, and also enjoyed an occasional fishing trip. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Bud Bell, who stood by her side through all of life's twists and turns. Her legacy lives on through her four children: Ryan Harper (Lisa), Bryan Harper, Christa Porter (Todd), and Brad Bell (Shelia), who will forever carry her love and guidance in their hearts. Susan was also a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life and whom she adored deeply. She is also survived by her brother, Rick Landess, and her sister, Sandy Daniels, who shared with her a bond that only siblings can understand—a lifetime of shared experiences, unconditional support, and cherished memories. Susan's presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we say goodbye to a remarkable woman, we hold onto the memories she leaves behind and the love she so generously shared. In celebrating Susan's life, we honor a woman who lived with grace, dignity, and an unyielding love for her family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. A private family service will be held to honor Susan's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Susan's memory, a tribute to her giving spirit and her commitment to helping others.
