Susan Lenelle Simon
October 28, 1950 — April 12, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Susan Lenelle Simon, lovingly known to many as Susie. She left this world peacefully on April 12, 2026, at Azria Health, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 28, 1950, in Seattle, Washington, Susan was a beacon of love and warmth, who touched the lives of everyone she met.
Susan was the beloved daughter of the late George Clark and Janette Young, and the cherished sister to her predeceased siblings, Eddie, Jimmy, and Jackie. Despite the sorrow of these losses, Susan remained a pillar of strength and love, qualities that she generously shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Glen Simon, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising two sons, Brandon (Briana) and Shane (Lorrie), who were the pride and joy of Susan's life. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Brice Simon, McKenna Summers, Jack Tanner, and Sierra Blackburn, each of whom brought immense joy and laughter into her world.
Susan also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Faye Lund and Dorothy, whose bonds remained unbreakable throughout the years. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially during their cherished camping trips, where her spirit truly came alive in the simplicity and beauty of nature.
A graduate of Halstead High School in 1969, Susan valued education and hard work. She dedicated 25 years of her life working diligently as a cashier at Bentley Corner before retiring in 2013. Her colleagues and customers remember her for her kindness, patience, and infectious smile that could brighten the cloudiest of days.
Susan's life was a testament to love, resilience, and joy. She faced every challenge with grace and every triumph with humility. Her warmth and compassion were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
The Simon family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Azria Health for their exceptional care and kindness during Susan's final days. Their compassion brought comfort to Susan and her family, and they will always be remembered with appreciation.
A celebration of Susan's life will be held at the Bentley Senior Center on May 23rd, 2026 from 1pm-3pm, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Susan's memory to a cancer charity of your choice, to continue the fight against the illness that took her from us too soon.
Susan Lenelle Simon will be dearly missed, but her spirit, love, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Susie, knowing you have left an indelible mark on this world.
