It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Susan K. Muse, age 60, on June 9, 2026. Susan passed peacefully and courageously, surrounded by her beloved family, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience. Born on December 7, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, Susan was the cherished daughter of Ernestine and Rev. William Lewis. She carried forward their teachings of love and understanding, becoming a beacon of these virtues in her own life. Though her parents and her dear daughter Sierra have predeceased her, their memories remained a guiding light throughout her life's journey. Susan was a remarkable woman known for her loving and understanding personality. Her warmth and kindness were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel seen and heard, and her genuine concern for others was a testament to her generous spirit. Her laughter was a melody that could brighten even the darkest of days, and her hugs were a refuge of comfort and reassurance. A devoted mother, Susan's pride and joy were her family. She was a guiding light to her children and a doting grandmother to her eight grandchildren. Each moment spent with her family was cherished, and her love was a constant presence in their lives. She imparted wisdom and strength, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and face life's challenges with courage and grace. Susan's life was a symphony of compassion and dedication. She found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was tending to her garden, sharing stories over a cup of tea, or volunteering at her local community center. Her commitment to helping others was unwavering, and she found fulfillment in giving back to the community that had given her so much. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Susan’s memory. Though the gathering will be intimate, the love and respect for Susan extend far and wide, touching the hearts of many who knew her. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. A special message from her family: "We love you Mom. Rest in peace!" While Susan's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a testament to the power of love, and her legacy will continue to inspire us all. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we carry forward her legacy of love and understanding.
