It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Debrah Curran, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Susan left this world peacefully on March 6, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was 77 years old.
Born on October 28, 1948, Susan was the beloved daughter of the late Ted Quinn of Savannah, GA, and the late Hilda Ervin of Halls, TN. A proud graduate of Halls High School, Susan's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and unwavering support for her family and community.
Susan shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Wayne Curran, in Halls, TN. Her legacy lives on through her son, Jason (Angela) Gray of Ripley, TN, and her three adored grandchildren, Stella (Matt) Hill of Jonesboro, AR, Abrianna Gray, and Riley Gray, both of Ripley, TN. Susan's heart was further filled with joy by her great-grandchildren, Harper, Eden, and Ty Hill, who brought light and laughter into her days. She is also survived by her stepbrother, Claude Ervin of Waco, TX.
For over 21 years, Susan was a dedicated employee at World Color, where she was known for her hard work and friendly spirit. Her colleagues remember her not only for her professionalism but also for her warmth and kindness.
Susan had a zest for life and a love for her family that was unparalleled. She cherished every moment with her son and grandchildren and found immense joy in their company. Whether she was riding around on the gator or sitting around sharing stories and laughter with loved ones, Susan's presence was a blessing to all who knew her. A devoted caregiver, she tenderly cared for her mother until her passing, demonstrating her boundless compassion and selflessness.
Her gentle spirit and loving nature will be missed, but her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A service to celebrate Susan's life will be held on March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Halls Funeral Home, located at 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN 38040. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Susan's remarkable life and the love she shared with everyone around her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Susan's memory, celebrating her generous heart and lifelong commitment to helping others.
