It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sunshine White, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Born on December 6, 1956, in Vernon, Texas, Sunshine brought warmth and light to all who knew her. She left this world peacefully on August 27, 2026, surrounded by her adoring family, just as she wished. Sunshine was the beloved daughter of the late Richard "Slim" White and Betty Joyce Burke, and she was predeceased by her parents, her brother Richard Lee White, and her dear friend Jamie Lee Owens. She is survived by her loving children, Crystal Lynn Shirley, Danny Kelley Jr., and Cody Chane White, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Mercede Shirley, Tina Teague, and Dixie Star Shirley, and her great-grandchildren, Caidence Molina, Annabelle Molina, J'lynn Finch Shirley, and Jamilo Shirley, affectionately known as "Sunshine's LITTLE MAN." Sunshine's life was a testament to love and dedication, not only to her family but also to those she cared for throughout her career as a CNA and Home Health aide. She was a compassionate caregiver, bringing comfort and joy to those she served. Her visits to nursing homes, where she shared her love for music and dance, left lasting impressions on everyone she met. Singing was one of Sunshine's greatest joys, and she had a particular fondness for Elvis Presley. Her voice could capture any note he sang, and her passion resonated with all who listened. Sunshine's vibrant smile and natural ability to connect with others made her a true beacon of warmth and kindness. Sunshine is also survived by her siblings, Jimmy White and his wife Cindy White, Ronnie Ray White, and Tommy Greg White, as well as a large extended family of nieces and nephews whom she adored. Her close friends, Victoria Zaloski, Kadeijah Smith, and Marka Gibson, along with many others, will forever remember her as a loyal and loving companion. A memorial service to celebrate Sunshine's life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at her home, located at 6036 Sandy Hill Blvd, Wichita Falls, TX 76310. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of one's choice in Sunshine's honor. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Kadeijah and Victoria for their unwavering support and friendship. Your care and compassion for our mother went beyond that of an employee, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Sunshine White's legacy of love and light will forever shine in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. May her memory be a blessing.
