With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Sulema Pastrano Hernandez, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, on July 23, 2026, at the age of 58. Sulema left this world at her home, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family, following a brave battle with liver disease. Born on November 12, 1967, in the charming town of San Marcos, Texas, Sulema was the daughter of the late Bernabe Pastrano and Dominga Mojica. Her childhood was filled with the love of her parents and siblings, and she carried those cherished memories with her throughout her life. She was predeceased by her parents and her dear brother, Bernabe "Bernie". Sulema’s life was a testament to the power of love and resilience. She shared a beautiful union with her devoted husband, Manuel, with whom she raised five wonderful children: Marisol, Cody, Jose Manuel, Billy, and Manuel Jr. Her family was the center of her world, and her nurturing spirit extended to her 11 cherished grandchildren, each of whom she adored deeply. Her siblings, Juan, Gloria, Ramon, Rosa, Irene, and Trine, were not only her family but her lifelong friends, with whom she shared countless moments of laughter and support. Sulema had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel special and valued. Sulema was a woman of simple joys, finding immense pleasure in nurturing her plants and flowers. Her garden was a sanctuary of color and life, much like the vibrant presence she was in the lives of those who knew her. Her green thumb and love for nature were reflective of her nurturing personality, as she cultivated not just plants, but relationships and memories that will forever be cherished. A service to honor and celebrate Sulema’s life will be held on July 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Legends Tri-County Funeral Home, located at 10935 TX-123, Seguin, TX 78155. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the beautiful life Sulema led and the love she shared so generously. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers and hospice team who provided Sulema with gentle care and compassion in her final days. Their support was a source of comfort and strength for Sulema and her loved ones. Sulema’s memory will forever be a comfort, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in gentle peace, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens she so dearly loved.
