Sue Patterson

It is with heavy hearts and that we announce the passing of Sue Patterson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Sue was born on February 11, 1941, in Waynesburgh to Jack and Dorthy Davidson. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on August 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Sue was full of wisdom and love, a legacy she passed on to her cherished family. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Dorthy, and her brothers Lawrence, Norman, and Bobby Davidson, Sue leaves behind a family who will continue to honor the values she instilled in them. She is survived by her devoted sister Lillian Allen, Jeannette Davidson, her loving children Harry and Gary Patterson Sr., and Beth Smith. As well as her treasured grandchildren Britnee Smith, Gary Patterson, Carlee Smith, and three great-grandchildren. Her extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with her wide circle of friends, will also deeply feel her absence. A graduate of Waynesburgh High School, Sue dedicated 50 years of her life to her career at PPG. She also was very into committed to improving the community. Sue worked tirelessly on the school board, supporting after school programs and summer activities for children around the Washington/Pittsburgh area. Her efforts reached countless young lives and built enduring bonds within the community. Sue's faith was a cornerstone of her life. As an active member of the Second Baptist Church in Carnegie, PA, she contributed her time and energy, believing that the spirit of service that defined her life. Her hobbies included capturing life's moments through her love of photography and spending cherished times with her children and grandchildren, creating a memories that will be forever cherished. Sue was married to Harry Patterson Sr., with whom she shared many years before they amicably parted ways. Despite the changes in her personal life, Sue maintained a close-knit family, nurturing each relationship with care and dedication. In honor of Sue's memory, her family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and support they have received. They find solace in knowing that Sue's legacy will continue to thrive through the lives she touched. Though Sue is no longer with us , her family and friends will always remember how she helped shape their lives. They vow to keep her legacy alive, ensuring that her spirit of kindness, love, and wisdom for generations to come.
