Sue M. Oaks January 16, 1941 - June 3, 2026 Cincinnati, OH - With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Sue M. Oaks on June 3, 2026. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Sue left this world surrounded by love and cherished memories. Born on January 16, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Charlie and Virginia Young, Sue's life was a testament to love, grace, and selflessness. She was a devoted sister to Nancy Estep and Tom Young, and a cherished aunt to their families. A proud graduate of Regina High School in the class of 1959, Sue carried her educational journey forward with a lifelong love for learning and community involvement. On August 24, 1963, Sue married the love of her life, Gerry Oaks, in a beautiful ceremony in Cincinnati. Together, they walked hand in hand through 63 years of marriage, building a home filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering devotion. Their love story, marked by shared adventures and tender moments, was blessed with three wonderful children: Ken, Karen, and Jeff. Sue's nurturing spirit and boundless love extended to her nine grandchildren—Morgan, Luke, Sydney, Kennedy, Ashley, Ryan, Drew, Luke, and Leah—each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Sue was an active member of Guardian Angels, where she dedicated her time and energy to fostering community and compassion. Her love for games, including Dominoes, Bridge, Mahjong, and Cribbage, was only surpassed by her love for organizing vacations and gatherings, where her home was always filled with the warmth of family and friends. Sue's radiant smile and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew her. In her later years, Sue and Gerry enjoyed traveling, particularly to Hilton Head, where they created lasting memories with family and friends. Her zest for life was infectious, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Sue is predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Virginia, and her beloved son, Craig Oaks. Her spirit continues to live on through her surviving family: her devoted husband, Gerry; her loving children and their spouses, Ken (Mandy), Karen (Mark), and Jeff (Kelly); her cherished sister and brother, Nancy and Tom; and her adoring grandchildren. A celebration of Sue's life will be held on June 12, 2026, at Guardian Angels Parish, located at 6531 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45230. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to CP and Constant Senior Care, especially CP, who provided tender care and companionship during Sue's final month. Sue M. Oaks will be remembered for her unwavering love, joyous spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Her memory will forever be a cherished treasure in the hearts of all who knew her.
