It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Sue Haynie, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, on September 25, 2026, at the age of 80. Sue was born on November 15, 1945, in the United States to Fanny and Ray Harris. She was a beloved sister to Gary, Ellen, and Linda Harris, all of whom predeceased her and whom she joins now in eternal peace.
Sue's life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and dedication to family. She was the loving wife of the late Bobby Haynie, who passed away in August 2024. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, creating a family that continues to honor their legacy. Sue is survived by her devoted children, Alicia Haynie, Chrishaura Haynie, and Kelon Haynie, who carry forward the values and warmth she instilled in them. Her legacy extends to her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Sue's life was a rich tapestry of love and compassion, woven through the countless lives she touched with her gentle spirit. Her generosity and unwavering support for her family and community will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A service to celebrate Sue's life will be held on October 3, 2026 at the Golden Gate Funeral Home, located at 4155 S R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and to share in the love and warmth that Sue brought into the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Sue's commitment to helping others.
Sue Haynie will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who knew her. May she rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
