It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Warren Sandell, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. Steven departed this world on January 27, 2026, at the age of 40, in the comforting presence of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength, following a courageous battle with illness. Steven was born on April 26, 1985, in the sunny coastal town of Daytona Beach, Florida. From an early age, he embraced the vibrancy and warmth of his surroundings, traits that he carried with him throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of Seabreeze High School, class of 2003, and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in business management from Daytona State College. His academic journey laid the foundation for his professional career, yet it was his personal qualities that truly defined him. A devoted father, Steven cherished every moment spent with his daughter, Sydney Sandell. He found immense joy in teaching her the culinary arts, sharing his love for cooking during family gatherings. Steven's kitchen was a place of laughter, learning, and love, where he passed on his passion for creating delicious meals and cherished memories. Steven’s kindness knew no bounds. He was the first to offer help, whether it was lending a hand to a neighbor or providing support to a friend in need. His generosity and selflessness touched the lives of countless people, creating a ripple effect of compassion in his community. His family and friends will forever remember his loving spirit and hardworking nature. An ardent animal lover, Steven's heart was as big as his smile. He found solace and joy in the companionship of animals, and his gentle soul was reflected in the way he cared for them. His legacy of kindness extended to all living creatures, reminding us of the beauty in every life. Steven is survived by his cherished daughter, Sydney Sandell; his former wife, Michelle Sandell; his loving father, Steven E. Sandell, and his stepmother, Lanell Lewis; his dear brother, Scott Jackson; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rebecca Matthews, whose memory he held close to his heart. In honoring Steven's life, we celebrate a man whose impact was immeasurable, whose love was boundless, and whose presence will be forever missed. His family invites all who knew him to join in a celebration of his life, where stories will be shared, laughter will echo, and his spirit will be remembered with love and gratitude. Though he is no longer with us, Steven Warren Sandell's legacy will live on in the hearts and lives of those he touched.
