Steven Ray Helton

December 31, 1960 — July 11, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Ray Helton, who journeyed peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2026. Born on December 31, 1960, in Commerce, Texas, Steven lived a life marked by love, service, and devotion to those around him. Steven was the beloved son of the late Billy Ray and Glenda June Helton, who instilled in him a deep sense of faith and compassion. He was a devoted husband to his cherished wife, Donna, with whom he shared a bond of love and partnership. Together, they loved three wonderful daughters, Ariel, Sara Grounds (Nathan), and Brandi Walker (Dee), who brought joy to his life. A skilled and dedicated plumber, Steven found joy and purpose in his work, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. His profession was more than just a job; it was a calling that allowed him to serve others, a value he held dear throughout his life. Steven's warmth and kindness extended beyond his immediate family to his cherished sisters, Sheila Gammon, Kathy Thomas Killian (James), and Nannette Helton. He was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one great-grandchild, who will carry forward his legacy of love and integrity. Though he has left this earthly realm, Steven's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his father-in-law, Melton Owens; his nephew, Cole Gammon; Sheila’s fiancé, Vic Massay; and Donna’s son, David Kirkland. He is now reunited with them in eternal peace. To all his extended family and friends, Steven held a deep love for each of you. Steven Ray Helton's life was a testament to the power of love and service. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
