Born on May 10, 1971, in Seattle, Washington, Steven graced this world with his infectious laughter and boundless kindness, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Steven was the beloved son of Bob and Darlene Gapp, who raised him to be the warm and caring individual he was. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy Nevius, with whom he shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship for over two decades. They were married on December 12, 2018, but their hearts were intertwined long before that, having been together since May 1, 2002. Steven and Dorothy's love was a testament to the power of partnership and devotion. A proud father and grandfather, Steven leaves behind a legacy of love in his five cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. His family was his pride and joy, and he took great delight in every moment spent with them. Steven's professional life was marked by dedication and expertise as he served as the lead maintenance engineer at the Hampton Inn for 11 years. His colleagues respected him for his work ethic and problem-solving skills, but they cherished him for his humor and spirit, which always seemed to lift those around him. An active member of Saint Andrews Catholic Church, Steven found solace and community in his faith. He was a man who believed in giving back and was always ready to lend a hand or an ear to those in need. An avid Seahawks football fan, Steven's enthusiasm for the game was contagious. He could often be found cheering for his team with unbridled passion. When not engrossed in football, Steven found peace in tending to his garden, where he nurtured both vegetables and flowers, reflecting his love for growth and beauty in all forms. Steven will be remembered for his quick wit and ability to be the life of any gathering. His humor and warmth had the magical ability to make everyone around him smile, and his presence brightened even the darkest of days. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brookside for their thoughtfulness during this difficult time.
