It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Karl Bean, who left this world far too soon on June 4, 2026, at the age of 47. Born on September 22, 1978, in St. Louis Park, Steven brought light and love into the lives of those around him, and his memory will forever be cherished.
Steven was the beloved son of Sandra Barnes and McClellan Bean, who raised him with love and instilled in him the values of kindness and service. He was predeceased by his dear brother, Calvin Bean, and his cherished sister, Cynthia Bean, with whom he now finds eternal peace.
A proud graduate of Osseo Senior High School in 1998, Steven went on to serve his country with honor and distinction in the United States Marine Corps from 2003 to 2011. During his military career, he completed two tours in Iraq, showing unwavering bravery and dedication. Steven's commitment to his fellow service members and his country was a testament to his character and strength.
For the last three years, Steven found fulfillment working at Federal Cartridge, where he became known for his diligence and camaraderie among his colleagues. Outside of work, he was an ardent sports enthusiast, cheering passionately for the Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Twins, and the Minnesota Wild. His love for sports was a reflection of his spirited nature and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures.
Steven was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to a friend in need, offering support and kindness without hesitation. His selflessness and generosity were qualities that endeared him to many and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
Steven is survived by his loving daughters, Kaidin April Bean 22 Ashlee Henrietta Bean, and his son, Karl Duane Bean, both 19 years old, who will carry forward his legacy with pride. He is also survived by his previous spouse and the mother of his children, Alisha Bean, who remains a cherished part of his extended family.
A service to honor Steven's life will be held on July 16, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, located at 7601 34th Ave South, Minneapolis, MN 55450.
