Steven's journey came to a peaceful end after a courageous battle with lung cancer, in Morristown,TN where he resided for the last several years, surrounded by the love of his family.
Steven's life was a testament to resilience, love, and laughter. A man of many interests, Steven found joy in the simple pleasures of life. When not at the poker table, Steven could be found embracing the great outdoors, indulging in fishing and hunting trips whenever he could. He was also an enthusiast of disc golf, a sport he played with great skill and enthusiasm.
Steven's greatest pride and joy were his family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Brooke Manheim, and her husband Ruben Hernandez, who together blessed Steven with five beautiful grandchildren: Anabel Manheim, Daisy Hernandez, Ruben Hernandez Jr., Dahlia Hernandez, and the newest addition, Liliana Hernandez. His heart was filled with love and pride for each of them, as well as for his siblings, sisters Linda, Francine, Darla, and Hala, and brother Bill. Steven's warmth and love extended to his many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Steven was known for his infectious humor and quick wit.
