It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Eugene Glindmeier, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Steven departed this world peacefully in his sleep on May 14, 2026, at the age of 69, after a brief battle following a stroke.
Born on August 27, 1956, in Phoenix, Arizona, Steven was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout his life. He was the cherished son of Jacqueline Hyde and Frank Glindmeier, and stepson to Lee Glindmeier and Tom Pappas, all of whom predeceased him. Steven’s journey through life was marked by a profound dedication to family, a brilliant mind, and a generous spirit.
Steven pursued his academic endeavors with vigor, earning a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee before achieving a Master’s in Accounting. His career was a testament to his dedication and intellect, and he was respected and admired by colleagues and clients alike for his integrity and commitment to excellence.
Steven married the love of his life, Lori Glindmeier, with whom he shared countless beautiful moments, adventures, and a deep, unwavering love. Their partnership was a model of companionship and shared joy. He leaves behind a family that he adored and who cherished him in return: his treasured daughter, Jennifer Crandall, her husband Jayson, and their children Marlie, Samantha, Evan, and Hudson; stepsons Eric Bjerk and Jason Bjerk, his wife Angie, and their children Conrad and Nikolai. Additionally, Steven is survived by his dear sister, Alea Dean, her husband Greg, and their children Amy and Lucian; his brother, Russ, and his stepsister, Penny.
Steven was a man whose life was a rich tapestry of love, laughter, and learning. He took immense pride in his six grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Whether it was teaching them about the wonders of nature, sharing his love for music, or simply enjoying their company, Steven was the epitome of a devoted grandfather.
Beyond his family, Steven had a wide circle of friends and colleagues who will remember him for his genuine kindness, sharp wit, and thoughtful nature. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His legacy is one of compassion, integrity, and a life lived with purpose and love.
In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Steven’s life and legacy. While we will gather in a small circle to say our farewells, we know that Steven’s spirit is carried in the hearts of all who knew him.
