Steve departed this world peacefully on April 24, 2026, at the age of 80, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. He leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and enduring values that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Steve was born on January 14, 1946, in Huntington Beach, California, to loving parents who instilled in him the virtues of kindness, integrity, and resilience. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Suzanne, his brothers George and Bill, and his devoted wife, Carolyn. Steve and Carolyn shared a remarkable journey together, having married in 1966. Their union, marked by unwavering support and deep affection, was blessed with four wonderful children: Laura, Glenn, Brian, and Jason. A devoted family man, Steve's greatest joy came from the time spent with his children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he embraced his role as a father and grandfather with immense pride and affection. Steve's home was always a place of warmth and laughter, filled with cherished memories and the sounds of family gatherings. Steve's professional life was as fulfilling as his personal one. He was known for his unwavering work ethic, keen intellect, and a genuine dedication to every endeavor he undertook. Steve's career was marked by success and respect, yet it was his humility and generosity that truly defined his professional persona. Beyond his family and career, Steve had a deep love for his community and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His friends and neighbors will remember him for his gentle spirit, his infectious laughter, and his ability to bring people together. A service to celebrate Steve's life will be held on May 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Stuhr Funeral Home, located at 232 Calhoun St, Charleston, SC 29401. Family, friends, and those whose lives Steve touched are warmly invited to gather in remembrance of a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Parkinson's research, a cause close to Steve's heart, in memory of his unwavering fight against the disease. Steve Stanton will forever be remembered for his boundless love, enduring strength, and the immeasurable impact he had on the lives of those he held dear.
